Our Approach

How we do It

MTC offers consultancy services for every type of business issue that is influenced by human Behavior. We first identify the related category of the problem. Next, we use our unique methodology to design professional and customized services. Our clients challenges always fit into one of The Three Pilars.

A special type of Interventions

Nudging

On top of our consulting services, we help our clients to build Nudge Teams within their organization. We believe that Nudging is key in creating a behavioral change.

Nudges are gentle pushes which are designed to influence people’s judgements, decisions and behavior into a specific direction and predictable way. However, this intervention must be easy, cheap to avoid and without forbidding options.

Dual-System Theory

Still, it should be noticed that a common scientific framework of reference unites these efforts. In particular, nudging relies heavily on theories and methodology from behavioral economics as well as from cognitive and social psychology, using microeconomic decision theory as a baseline. In particular, a central focus within the field is the biases and heuristics program of Nobel prize winner Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, which is rooted in dual-process theories of cognition and information processing (Kahneman & Tversky 1979) and made accessible to the wider public by Kahneman’s dual-system theory presented in his famous book
